SR.
GAIL
TRIPPETT,
C.S.J
Principal of Central Catholic St. Nicholas School and Academy
Sr. Gail
Trippett is a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet.
She has been serving Central Catholic St. Nicholas
School for 19 years. Those years have been
dedicated to bringing the charism of the Sisters of
St. Joseph alive within the hearts and minds of the
school community. The sisters focus on Unity and
reconciliation through right relationships to God,
the world and all others. As a result students
participate in the charism by learning how to build
strong emotional IQ's (EQ), receive discipline in a
manner that teaches the skills needed to follow
directions - versus simply receiving consequences
for not following directions, and develop a rich
relationship with God. These core foci enable the
students to become leaders who impact the world with
the skills needed to deal with people, the earth,
life situations and their work in a manner that
honors God.
Sr. Gail has a
B.A. in Early Childhood education and elementary
education, an M.A. in Educational Administration, an
M.TH in Theology, and Masters coursework in Special
Education. She believes that every child has
special gifts that simply need to be nurtured in
order to be fully utilized. This has led to staff
development in the Multiple Intelligences. The
school community has been built around developing
the whole child. Therefore, students have the
capacity to succeed academically, emotionally and
socially through a variety of intentional programs,
activities and ongoing staff development. Believing
that every child needs to be prepared at his/her
highest potential, the curriculum is advanced in
every grade level. Students are nurtured with high
expectations and gentle guidance to reach their
goals in a realistic manner.
Sr. Gail also
believes in giving back. Consequently, she
challenges herself to get involved in the local
community as well. She has served on various
boards, which have included Dismas House, Character
Plus Advisory Board, Marion Middle School, CYC
Foster Children's Board to name a few.
Participation in the Congregation of the Sisters of
St. Joseph is also key. She has served as a Council
member on the Provincial Leadership team and various
committees throughout her years as a Sister of St.
Joseph. She has experience as a retreat leader,
spiritual director and hosting national workshops.
Creating
environments for everyone to succeed is a lifelong
mission for Sr. Gail. Toward that aim, the school
community of Central Catholic St. Nicholas School is
never satisfied with the previous year's successes.
The Sister of St. Joseph always moves toward the "more," and Sr. Gail lives that motto by constantly
moving the school community to greater and greater
success. |
